Capturing Blooms in Acrylics with Zan (Series)

Join our exciting new acrylic workshop series and learn to capture the essence of Spring’s glorious blooms using fun serendipitous techniques! Dripping, spattering, scratching and sprinkling salt, Zan will build on each session sharing new tools and techniques to entice your inner artist. Geared toward the beginner and experienced painter alike, after each session you will walk away with a unique painting all your own and the knowledge to create more!

Instructor: Zan Savage has been enthralled with color, texture and design from the moment she received her first giant box of Crayola crayons but didn’t begin her formal studies in Art until many years later at UT Austin in the Fine Art Department. From there she married, had children and later received an Interdisciplinary Degree with honors from Tx Wesleyan University, all the while continuing her engagement in the arts. During that time, she worked with several galleries selling her work, conducted clay, painting and drawing workshops, created and implemented a fine arts curriculum for a student population of over 500 young children, along with various other art endeavors. She also came to believe that everyone can learn to paint and for the last 10 years has conducted various art workshops across the DFW area. One of her greatest joys is being a part of the participants’ artistic journey.

This is a 4 session series on Wednesdays May 4, 11, 18, and 25 (9:30 am – 12:30 pm)

Registration Deadline: May 1
