Feel like your succulents don’t love you back? Are your cacti getting all prickly on you? Join our Cacti and Succulents 101 class to learn the correct conditions to grow them successfully. You will also learn easy propagation techniques and take home your own cactus or succulent.
After class, explore the Gardens at your leisure; registration includes Garden admission for the day.

Instructor: Joyce Block joined the Fort Worth Botanic Garden as the Curator of the Rainforest Conservatory in 2014. She has a bachelor’s degree in Horticulture from Texas Tech and an Associates of Applied Science in Horticulture with an emphasis in Retail Floral, Interior Plants, Garden Center Management and Greenhouse Production from the University of Minnesota. She has been a Texas Master Gardener since 2002 and previously served as the President, Past President and a media representative for the Minnesota River Valley Master Gardeners. Joyce is a Texas Master Certified Nursery Professional through the Texas Nursery and Landscape Association and the editor and one of the main writers for a weekly gardening column for the Cleburne Times-Review.
She is a Native Minnesotan married to a Native Texan. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, crocheting, and gardening with houseplants, herbs, and vegetables at home, with help from her cats and hubby.
Location: BRIT building – Park in the Main Lot.
