Japanese Garden Weddings

To reserve a date and space in the Japanese Garden, a signed contract and the full rental fee is required. Contact Erdie Allsup 817 763-0724 or fwbs3@aol.com

Small weddings (25 people or less) may be held at the Hill Arbor or the Waterfall Overlook for $350.00 for two hours. This rate does NOT apply to weddings in the Pavilion or on the Moon Viewing Deck.

Hill Arbor – This intimate spot overlooks Moon Bridge and the Upper and Middle Pools. The Japanese inspired shelter gives a sense of enclosure while being outdoors.

Waterfall Overlook – This small open area looks out on a large tranquil pool with a small island in the foreground and a large waterfall in the background. A beautiful spot for your wedding photos.

Weddings and receptions may also be held in the Japanese Garden Pavilion or on the Moon Viewing Deck.

Japanese Garden Rentals

* The following items are included in these fees: one Botanic Garden
staff person, one police officer, and Bride’s room.

The Gardens Restaurant is the caterer for the Japanese Garden.

Alcohol permitted if purchased through The Gardens Restaurant. One police officer for each 125 guests is required if alcohol is served.

DJs, small ensembles and music permitted as long as these are not disruptive to the garden atmosphere.

FAQ's

The following fees are for all gardens EXCEPT the Japanese Garden, Pavilion and Moon Viewing Deck.

A FEE OF $350.00 FOR TWO HOURS IN THE GARDEN IS DUE WHEN WEDDING CONTRACT IS SIGNED AND DATE IS SECURED. AT THAT TIME YOU WILL ALSO NEED TO KNOW WHICH GARDEN YOU WOULD LIKE TO USE FOR YOUR WEDDING. This fee does not apply to the Japanese Garden Pavilion and Moon Viewing Deck.

No wedding will be scheduled on major holidays or during any other Botanic Garden Special Event without administrative permission.

FEE FOR WEDDING DOES NOT INCLUDE USE OF BRIDAL CHANGING ROOM. This room may be rented for an additional fee of $50.00 per two-hour period.

WEDDING FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE AND NON-TRANSFERABLE!
FEES FOR ROOM RENTAL ARE NON-TRANSFERABLE EXCEPT WITHIN THE GARDEN CENTER!

TIME PERIODS FOR WEDDINGS:

10:30a.m.–12:30p.m.
1:00p.m.–3:00p.m.
3:30p.m.–5:30p.m.
6:00p.m.–8:00p.m. (April through October only!!)

All times are subject to availability

You should start your wedding at least 30 minutes after your wedding rental begins (e.g. 1:00-3:00p.m., start at 1:30p.m.).

CANCELLATIONS & RESCHEDULING

Weddings may be rescheduled to a later date within six months of the original date, if request is received in writing three (3) weeks before original date. Cancellations must be submitted in writing to Garden Center Administration.
 

TENTS, AWNINGS AND GAZEBOS

MAY NOT BE BROUGHT ONTO THE GROUNDS.
All properties, decorations, and/or trash must be delivered and or removed within your allotted rental period or you will be subject to a fee to be determined by administrative staff.
 

PHOTOGRAPHY

There is no charge for commercial photography during a scheduled wedding or reception. Portraits made at any other time are subject to a $25.00 per hour fee in the general garden area. Fuller Garden, Leonard Courtyard, Beggs Courtyard, Japanese Garden and the Conservatory are subject to a fee of $75.00 per hour. The Japanese Garden and Conservatory may be used with written permission from Garden Administration.To schedule a photo shoot in the Japanese Garden call Erdie Allsup 817 763-0724.
