Yesterday’s cisterns have been replaced by rain barrels and gutter systems, two simple and efficient ways for today’s homeowners to collect rainwater for landscaping and gardening needs. Your local Texas AgriLife service can provide you with extensive information on rainwater harvesting, and look for classes at your local AgriLife office and the Fort Worth Botanical Gardens.
